Treatments are drawn from a wide choice of different modalities; physiotherapy joint mobilisation, trigger point release, neuromuscular retraining, retraining walking and posture, muscle energy techniques, dry needling and laser therapy, myofascial release (massage), craniosacral therapy, visceral therapy, psychotherapy, yoga therapy.

A-J uses her training and experience to discern what is important for your healing program and to provide you with treatment suited to your needs and goals.

What to expect at your initial visit to Physio Therapy Yoga:

All body systems are taken into account;

  • musculoskeletal system (tissue quality, joint stiffness, inflammation, function),
  • nervous system (mobility and sensitivity), 
  • digestive system (related to inflammation),
  • respiratory system (quality of your breathing relates to muscular tension), 
  • mind and emotional state (stress, anxiety, relaxation), 
  • work and living environment

  We assess only as much as we need to, according to your goals.

A-J combines evidence-based knowledge and clinical experience with a holistic biopsychosocial approach to treat persistent pain that has not responded to traditional treatments. 

Who I work with:

I work with people who are enduring persistent pain or injury  that has resisted other treatments through a thorough whole-person approach to assessment, and close questioning to get to the cause of their symptoms. I treat the cause(s) as well as the symptoms using years of clinical experience and training; this is where the difference lies. 

You will learn about your body and how lifestyle and movement changes can help you work toward healing your pain. You will be empowered to take an active role in your own healing.

We may include exercises and therapeutic yoga practices specifically designed for you, to do at home, and offer advice about lifestyle factors that may be contributing to your pain.
